About the book
Religion is one of the first reasons for human travel. For this reason, it is indisputable whether there is a relationship between belief systems and travel (hence tourism). The aim of this book is to open the door to new worlds for readers to explore by examining the relationship between tourism and existing belief systems all over the world. The dominant belief systems in the world have been ranked according to the number of believers and have been chosen to be examined. In the book, brief history of belief systems, travel directions in the sacred texts of belief systems, holy and places of worship of belief systems, religious ceremonies performed within the scope of belief systems and tourism potential caused by belief systems are among the information presented to the reader. The wish in the creation of this book is to guide the reader, to add information and to remind him that he can meet at the same table whether he believes it or not; It is a means of directing people to the issues that unite people, not to the issues that separate people from each other.
